We will come up with a plan that allows you to eat the foods you like and manage your PCOS symptoms based on your lifestyle. The only correct “PCOS Diet” is the one that keeps you satisfied and makes your life easier instead of more stressful. 

Our eating plan will utilize Intuitive Eating principles so that you can learn to trust your body without the restriction of a diet. Learning to eat intuitively and prioritizing self-care such as sleep, movement, and stress management will improve your health and PCOS symptoms.

Are you recovering from an eating disorder?

If you have obsessive thoughts around food and body image related to eating disorders such as anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, or OSFED I am here to help. 

I will work closely with your doctors, therapist, and/or psychiatrist to ensure that you are getting the care and nutrition support you need as you recover. 

Eating disorder recovery can be challenging and scary. I will take a non-judgmental and individualized approach, since eating disorders occur in people of all ages, genders, races, and sizes. 

As a dietitian, my role will be to help you be properly nourished, eat a variety of foods, restore weight (if needed), and alleviate stress around food. I will work with you, along with your treatment team, to improve body image and self care. My hope for everyone is that they can find joy and pleasure in eating.

Nutrition counseling sessions are available via a HIPAA compliant telehealth platform. Together we will:
 
  • Review your medical history, medications, supplements, and lab work
  • Review your current eating and exercise habits
  • Set goals
  • Review your food and symptom journal
  • Discuss meal and snack ideas
  • Discuss mindful eating practices
  • Replace restrictive food rules with sustainable strategies

As of January 1, 2022, all healthcare providers are required to provide estimates for the costs of your care. You are entitled to receive a copy of your Good Faith Estimate (GFE) when you schedule an appointment, and/or upon request. The GFE shows the cost of items and services that are reasonably expected for your healthcare needs and treatment. This protects you from balance billing and other unexpected charges. Frequently Asked Questions

First and foremost I am not the food police and I do not believe that there is a perfect diet. Perfect doesn’t exist y’all! I will spend a lot of time getting to know you, finding out what your schedule is like, and asking you what you eat now and what you like to eat. I will ask you about your health history, how you sleep, and how you handle stress.

We will talk about your goals are and what you are hoping to get out of our sessions together. Then we will spend some time talking about what is going on in your body with PCOS, discuss some changes to eating patterns, come up with meal ideas, and decide if supplements are right for you. Each session we will choose some achievable goals and evaluate them at the next session.
I do not recommend “fad” diets such as Keto, Paleo, Atkins, or Intermittent Fasting. I will not guarantee weight loss. Instead we will talk about what you like to eat and what your lifestyle is like and together formulate some research-backed strategies to help achieve your health goals. Short term diets only lead to weight gain long term.
As a woman with PCOS, I have struggled with many of the symptoms that you may be experiencing. I know that finding credible recommendations can be a challenge. In my 5 years of working with women, I have found solutions to their health problems and helped them live healthier lives with less symptoms. I encourage you to let me help you make some changes that work with your lifestyle that can make a big impact on your health.
I conduct video consultations via Healthie, a HIPAA-compliant, secure online portal. The advantage to meeting virtually is that you don’t have to travel for appointments and we can stay connected between appointments with secure messaging.
